Barley Cottage is approached up two steps from the parking area, into a small entrance hall. This leads to the open plan living area, consisting of kitchen, dining and seating areas.
From the seating area french doors open onto the terrace, with steps down to the garden.
The views through the french doors and from the terrace are of the rolling Shropshire countryside.
Upstairs there are two bedrooms, one double and one twin. There is a family bathroom with bath- shower over, WC and wash basin.

Introduction
Barley Cottage is part of a Grade II listed stone barn, that has been converted into three cottages of which Barley is one. It is situated at Manor Farm, Wyke, Much Wenlock, which is our working family farm.
Pre-Arrival
• We have a website with pictures of all rooms and descriptions of each and it's facilities.
• Bookings/enquiries can be made directly from the website, via e-mail, telephone or postal.
• All guests are provided with written directions to the cottage.

Arrival & Car Parking Facilities
• The three cottages that form Bow Barns have their own private entrance from the road.
• Barley cottage forms part of the original farmyard and there is ample parking in the yard outside the cottage. There is concrete ground covering to the steps of the door of the cottage, and three 13cm steps up to the door, with iron hand rails.
Main Entrance, Reception & Ticketing Area
• The main entrance is from the yard, via a concrete yard to the main door of the cottage. There are three steps. The key to the door will be available on your arrival.
• The door is 73cm x 180cm with hinge on left.
• The door opens into the open plan kitchen/dining/sitting area of the cottage.
• The light switch for the sitting area is situated on the right hand side of the door casing. The floor is laminate throughout the groundfloor and doormats are situated both inside and outside of the entrance door.
• In the dresser in the dining area is the 'Useful Information' folder which has details about the cottage and local facilities.
Public Areas - Hall, Stairs, Landing, Corridors etc
•The stairs in Barley Cottage are to the two upstairs bedrooms. The approach to the stairs is from the open plan living area. The stairs are carpeted with a short pile 80% wool carpet of a russet colour. There are six steps to a drop landing and then a further 5 steps to the landing area. There is one step into the bathroom and one bedroom. Special attention should be paid to the beam above the top of the stairs as this is less than 200cm from the floor and may be a hazard to taller guests.
• All stairs have a handrail.
Public Areas - Sitting room, lounges, lobbies etc
• The living area is part of the open plan ground floor space that you enter first from the main door. It has a laminate floor, with a doormat and two rugs. There is one sofa and two bamboo chairs, all moveable.
• There is a Digital TV and DVD player
• There is are French Doors from the sitting area to the outside terrace and gardens.
• The dining area has a table and four chairs.
• There is a dresser with cupboard under, in the dining area. The cupboard under, contains the soft cushions for the outdoor seating.
Under the stairs is space for vacuum cleaner, brushes, brooms, a fan heater, ironing board and room for luggage.
Outdoor Facilities
• Situated outside the French Doors is a terrace with steps down to a paved area with table, parasol and seating.
• There is a communal green area accessed via the steps and there are outdoor games available for use there. Croquet set and skittles set are located in the storage building at the bottom of the farm yard, and labelled 'bins' on the door.
Bedrooms & Sleeping Areas
• There are two upstairs bedrooms reached via the staircase from the living area. The one has a double bed, two bedside lights, built in wardrobe and tallboy with mirror and bedside cupboards.
• The other one has two single beds with bedside light, wardrobe and tallboy with mirror and bedside cupboard.
• All bedrooms have extra pillows and blankets available
Bathroom, Shower-room & WC [Ensuite or Shared]
• There is a bathroom room on the first floor containing bath with shower over, WC and wash basin.
• There is a heated towel radiator and additional towel rails, plus hooks for bathrobes.
• The floor is laminate with bath rugs.
• The door can be locked with a hanging pin attached to the latch.
Self-Catering Kitchen
• The kitchen is accessed from the main door and forms part of the opn plan ground floor living area.
• It has a u-shaped layout with washing machine, dishwasher, hob, oven and fridge with freezer compartment.
• There is a microwave oven, coffee making machine, kettle, toaster, iron and hand mixer.
• The floor is laminate with one rug.
• There is ample crockery, glassware and cookware available in the kitchen cupboards
• Fire blanket and fire extinguisher are located at the entrance. A torch is in the wall cupboard nearest to the sitting area and emergency contact information is available on the notice board above the kitchen worktop.
