Meet The Neighbours

 

Well...There's us of course - Andrew, Pat & Millie. You will find us across the yard from you, should you need anything.

 

More importantly we have a number of animals around the farm:-

 

Cows and calves, ewes and lambs, cats and kittens, hens and chickens and three dogs.

 

Maybe soon we will have pigs again.

 

During the summer months most of the animals are out in the fields and away from the farm, but over winter we have full houses. In Spring we always have lambs, calves and chicks around the place  and sometimes a kitten or two.

 

There is always a wealth of wild birds around the farm buildings  foraging for the easy food pickings.

 

From your terraces you may see deer up on the fields in the early mornings or late evenings. There are always pheasants, partridges, rabbits, hares, foxes and badgers to be seen in the surrounding fields and countryside.

 

There are numerous birds of prey about too, a Buzzard on  a post, a Sparrowhawk and often Kestrels or recently we have a Red Kite.There are Tawny Owls and Little Owls, you may hear them at night and recently a Barn Owl.

 

There is a Woodpecker who regularly sits on a telegraph pole and you can hear him pecking at it early in the morning.
